I've probably shared a few thankful posts.
I should probably share more, because we have much to be thankful for.
This week, I decided to keep the kids in Rochester overnight.
We went up on Monday, and the boys and I got a hotel room,
while the girls stayed with mom at the Ronald McDonald House.
Friends in Rochester helped sit with the kids for some time on
Monday and Tuesday, and even treated for lunch on Tuesday,
which all made the extended time 'living' at the hospital much easier.
We had great weather and walked around a castle in Rochester.
I was realizing on the way home that I have logged over 3500 miles since
Timmy has been in the hospital - just driving to and from Rochester.
On our way home last night, we had our first travel incident. I think the deer
is probably in worse shape than the car, but he did some damage.
And here is what things look like before any money was spent on the repair.
I have $200 worth of parts ordered now to fix it, but it functions now.
Gas money, food, and tolls add up quickly.
On top of a hotel and an accident.
But God has already met all of these needs - ahead of time.
He has used family and friends to make sure the struggle we are
going through does not involve a financial aspect.
We are more concerned with getting out thank you cards,
than we are with the expenses.
We do not take that for granted.
We are very thankful for each of you that has been involved in
providing for our needs. Whether through prayer, through finances,
or through care packages for Jen and the kids (even some goodies for daddy),
or even through all of the above. We are truly overwhelmed
by your goodness, and the goodness of our heavenly Father.
Timmy continues to do well today, for which our thankfulness
overflows above anything mentioned above.
Thank You!
And we thank God for all things knowing that "every good gift and every perfect gift is from above."
